WHAT IS THE DAYWhen will you die? That last day of reckoning..An indefinite pleaFor resurrection?A meaningless worthBundled into oneWhere are the answersTo the salvation you all seek? This overpowering struggle for worthYou are entangled in a webOf law disguised as “guidelines”Controlled by everythingBut yourselfStifled by the structureWhat possible relief do these conformities deliver? We live in the futureThe present seems too realYet we grapple with our existenceDo you feel?Live in the nowWhat more do you have? When you get no answersYou get no questionsJust an uncertain promiseLife after death?
Words cannot describe the splendor of Pebble Creek today. Much more appealing than school, I must say.
Today is, quite simply, a day to be remembered. A day when our differences can be put aside and our similarities can be shared and appreciated. The day has finally come when a clear ray of progress can be seen. Boundaries have been demolished, and lines have been erased. It is truly a day of HOPE. A day without fear. When President Obama stepped out of the beastly Cadillac he and Michelle were engulfed in down Pennsylvania Ave., this new era was evident. How we had gone so long without such a leader seems unheard of. The American people have chosen Barack Obama, one who leads by example, not by force. I truly believe he is what our country needs. I have FAITH that he will make the change he promises and give us HOPE in things we are informed about, not lied to about. Moral integrity, ambition, and honesty are the traits that shine from the new leader of our country. My heart goes out to him and his family as he takes on an unbelievable responibility and they embark on a challenging chapter in their lives. The journey will not be easy, there will be mistakes, but I have faith that the outcome will be just. Because after eight long years, we deserve CHANGE.
So I skied four days this weekend... in a row. Yes. And despite my legs almost falling off, I love it! :D Generally, I snowboard.. but I'm just feelin' the skis lately! Everyone has always told me it's better and I guess I was just a little slow coming around. Although I do still love my snowboard, skis are so much more versatile. And moguls are killer on them! I'm just so happy. I'm going to be hardcore and ski until I die, for sure. :D I have no idea what I would do without it in the winter months! (As I have no idea what people do during the winter months that don't ski!) I would also like to mention how very thankful I am to have a ski area SO close to home! Lots of people trash on Pebble, "It's too small!", "The snow sucks!", "It's lame!". Whatever they say, it's not true! Well.. yes, it is small. But so what? You won't get lost and die. That's always a plus. And no, the snow does not always "suck". I skied some of the best snow ever over break and even this last weekend it was nice and soft in the warm weather. As for the "lame" excuse, or even the occasional "Pebble doesn't even count", you people just don't even know the beauty of it. Be thankful for what you have, not what you don't. We live in a beautiful place and are truly blessed to have an excellent mountain less than a half an hour away from home. So suck it up and ski!
The weatherman just said it is "soupy" outside. How intriguing?
Hey guys! Or Ana at this point... :D So I'm new to this whole "blogspot" thing. I guess we will see where it takes me! Perhaps I can make myself seem interesting on this thing. As that proves difficult in real life. I mean, I would be a much more interesting person if I were attending the Inauguration next Tuesday like little Miss Ana! I'm kidding myself, but really, she's super cool! As are most of my friends. Not to brag or anything. This could possibly be the most boring post in the history of posts.. And I'm assuming that is a very broad history! It might be cooler if I had a purpose for one of these. Once again, like Ana or my cousin Alyssa whom I still need to inform of this exciting development. Change is good for the soul.
